Wendy Shipman - Founder and Executive Director

Wendy is the founder of the ChangeMakeHer Trust, and is dedicated to working with women, who are raising a family alone and want to make changes in their life. Wendy speaks the language of women and business.

The vision for ChangeMakeHer was born out of Wendy’s personal journey, shaped by the birth of her daughter, who was adopted, when Wendy was sixteen-years of age. It was a difficult journey, making her resilient, and has given her empathy for other women who find themselves alone with a family, trying to rebuild their lives. Wendy has discovered you can make a difference, “Alone we can do a little; together we can do so much.” Her favourite part about being a coaching is when she sees a client bloom from their journey of a closed bud into a open blossom.

Wendy is also an executive director of ChangeMakeHer Trust, a qualified professional coach, and a certified Leadership Circle Practitioner. She has significant experience in owning and operations of a business.

 

Carina Gwynne - Associate Coach

BSc (psychology), BAppSocSci (counselling), AMCDANZ, AHRNZ,

Carina is a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and the Career Development Association of New Zealand. She has degrees in both psychology and counselling, where she specialises in innovative, evidence-based workplace coaching techniques. Carina works with businesses to find practical coaching solutions for people and performance development in the workplace.  Her mission is to help people do what they do, better.

Originally from the United Kingdom, she has lived and worked in Wellington, Nelson, Melbourne, Sydney and Christchurch.  Working with a variety of government departments, training organisations, merchant banks, computer companies, and temping agencies, she has seen up-close how disengaged and unhappy employees affect business performance and productivity.  Carina helps businesses to find practical business solutions, leading to more engaged, resilient and higher performing employees.
